The second edition extends the scope of the first edition, published in 1990, which was concerned solely with the measurement of crystal growth rates. Again produced under the auspices of the Working Party on Crystallisation (WPC) of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE), this edition includes the measurement of nucleation rates.

The book recommends: proven methods, equipment and procedures for growth rate measurements, complete information on parameters relevant to the measured data under discussion, symbols and units for presentation and publication.
