About IChemE
The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) is the leading professional qualifying body for chemical, biochemical and process engineers.
Our purpose
IChemE exists to advance chemical engineering's contribution worldwide for the benefit of society. We support the development of chemical, biochemical and process engineering professionals and provide connections to a powerful network of over 30,000 members in more than 100 countries.
Our vision
We aspire to be a peer-group leader for all those delivering chemical engineering activities, regardless of discipline. We want to be recognised by our members globally as: 'Led by members, supporting members and serving society'.
We will realise our vision when we achieve these four aims:
- We are respected for our professionalism and technical competence
- We are recognised as a vibrant learned society that materially impacts on the Global Grand Challenges
- We are acknowledged as a peer-group leader in which an engaged membership receives and adds value
- We are known as a high-performing organisation delivering significant value
