Overview

This course explores the diverse activities covered by the broad concept of ‘energy from waste'. Delivered in small units, it provides an introductory understanding of the concept of changing waste into a reliable energy source, and the processes required for using its inherent energy.

The course evaluates the advantages and challenges of energy from waste from a sustainability perspective. It also includes practical examples that demonstrate the necessary steps and information required to reach a decision on whether to adopt an energy from waste system.

This on-demand course is delivered via IChemE’s Virtual Learning Zone (registration required). You will be able to access the training course via your web browser and complete the course at your own pace. You will have access to the course for six months and will be required to complete the course within this time frame.
