Sustainable Process Integration for Cleaner Process Design
ISBN: S0341 - 3280811488bcc53e0188bed3881d24fd
Overview
This course will help chemical engineers understand process integration (PI) in energy and material recovery.
Over the last three decades, various models/techniques have been proposed for better process design in order to help achieve the UN sustainable development goals (SDGs). More recently, various process integration techniques have been developed to reduce consumption, ensure maximum recovery of resources and reduce harmful emissions in process plants. By making use of PI, we can now design cleaner and more sustainable processes.
As the Sustainability Hub assists chemical engineers in supporting the UN Sustainability Development Goals, this training course will be a key knowledge strand for setting a solid foundation towards making steps for achieving SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production aims and targets.
